For the holistic development of students and to contribute significantly to the overall academic growth of the college, the Department of Economics regularly organizes diverse academic, practical, and skill-based initiatives:

  • Holistic Student Development & Career Guidance: Focuses on the overall personality development of students by offering regular competitive examination guidance (UGC-NET/SET, MPSC, UPSC, Banking Exams), career counselling, and soft-skills training.
  • Experiential Learning & Field Visits: Conducts annual educational and field visits to various commercial/co-operative banks, industrial units, local agricultural markets, and rural enterprises to bridge the gap between theoretical economic concepts and practical applications.
  • Skill-Oriented & Value-Added Courses: Successfully runs short-term certificate courses, including Agriculture Economics & Agribusiness, Certificate Course in Yoga & Wellness, and Basic Banking & Financial Literacy to enhance employability and personal well-being.
  • Academic Events & Expert Sessions: Regularly arranges guest lectures, expert talks on Union/State Budget Analysis, workshops, national/international seminars, and conferences to promote research aptitude among staff and students.
  • Institutional Development Initiatives: Actively contributes to college development activities, NAAC documentation, IQAC initiatives, and community extension programs for rural socio-economic empowerment.
