The Department of Gymkhana (Sports & Physical Education) was established in 1978 with the objective of promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, leadership, and holistic personality development among students.
Prof. P. B. Dhumal served as the Director of Physical Education from 1978 to 2016, making significant contributions to the growth of sports activities in the institution. Since 2017, Dr. N. M. Walunj has been serving as the Director of Physical Education, continuing the department's tradition of excellence in sports and physical education.
The department has consistently produced outstanding sportspersons who have represented the college in Inter-University, State, and National-level competitions. The department has developed particular expertise in:
